Boat

My toothpick sculpture consists of over 100 toothpicks and a whole bunch of glue sticks. I used triangles as my geometric shape and those created the frame. The front and back are open to see inside.

Inspiration for Plaster Project...

Henri Moore is the artists inspiring our plaster work... His work is all about inter-twining shapes and careful NEGATIVE spaces. Many of his Bronze pieces started as plaster "models", whare he could carve and develop the surface textures....

Here are some photos for ideas:

Plaster Casting Project! Reductive Sculpture...

Something NEW! Here's the idea- mix and pour plaster into a bag, "pose" the bag, when it has set, remove the bag and begin carving to enhance the FORM and SURFACE.
Decide how the piece will stand up, to show GESTURE- or a sense of "life" and "movement". Consider that  the piece should look like it's up on it's "toes"....
